Facebook Messenger goving to bring end to end encryption option

giant social media Facebook has said it has begun offering an option to encrypt messages - a way to have secret conversations with other users - some of the 900 million users of messenger, your messaging application. The end to end encryption is a system that allows users to communicate only to read the messages. The update Facebook ban even reading the conversation of users.

"We want people to be able to use Messenger to every conversation you want to have," The Wall Street Journal quoted Tony Leach, product manager for Facebook Messenger as saying. "In some cases, these are really fun and casual things like sending emoji each other. In other cases, it is very serious conversations where you need an extra layer of security," said Leach.

Facebook introduced the encryption end to end one billion users of the messaging application WhatsApp in April. Leach said encrypt Messenger is a more difficult challenge WhatsApp because the service is widely used by browsers on personal computers as well as smartphones.

While in WhatsApp, the end to end encryption is enabled by default, Messenger users will have to activate the feature, which has not gone down well with a few. Christopher Soghoian, a leading technologist of the American Civil Liberties Union, wrote in a Twitter message that "opt-in encryption favors educated users who have the time to learn about setting security dark".

Meanwhile, Matthew Green, assistant professor of computer science at Johns Hopkins, who was invited by Facebook to review its efforts encryption end to end teacher, said he would like to see the feature enabled by default, but according that this would be a challenge.

"It's very difficult to get encrypted messaging application that has all the features that Facebook wants to work on the web and on multiple devices," Green said. Facebook said encryption end to end would not be immediately available in Messenger for group conversations, chatbots, payments or videos.
