Juice Micromax Canvas 2 launched for Rs 8999; conserves battery 3000mAh

Micromax has announced the Juice Canvas 2 in India for Rs 8999. It retains the same 3000mAh battery, seen in its popular juice Canvas successor.

Needless to say, the highlight of the device is its large 3000mAh battery that promises to deliver up to 9 hours talk time and up to 18 days of standby time.

Canvas juice 2 is a dual-SIM smartphone with IPS HD 5-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Micromax adds a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The latest Android 5.0 iteration Lollipop is also implemented.

Under the hood, I is powered by a quad-core processor at 1.3 GHz and unspecified chipset, with 2GB of RAM. Also get 8GB of onboard storage plus expandable up to 32GB through microSD card slot. This is an upgrade of the RAM of 1 GB and 4 GB of storage seen in its predecessor on board.

 

On the front of the camera, 8-megapixel rear snapper sets with autofocus and LED flash and 2MP front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS / A-GPS, GPRS / EDGE and 3G.

Dipped in silver, the smartphone is available through online stores and offline.
