Declare Delhi IIT 12th edition of Open House




The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, announced the 12th edition of the open house to be held on April 23 in its vicinity. More than 500 research projects and 80 demonstration projects will be presented at the event, which expects the participation of more than 4,000 school children, IIT Delhi said on Tuesday.

About 20 innovative projects with a "high social impact" system will be exhibited at the event as a device protective, liquefied hip remover cylinder cover petroleum gas, environment friendly bio-fertilizers, books diagram for blind students, improved drainage systems in Delhi and so on.



"The idea of ​​the open house IIT is to identify projects in which a new product or technology is created with a high impact on society," V. Ramgopal Rao, who took over as director of the institute four days ago, said. "Probably (IIT Delhi) need to connect more to society and we need to be working on technologies that are relevant to society. Let's connect with agricultural and health institutions and we would like to work in multidisciplinary projects that provide benefits to society" he added.

Research and demonstration posters will be evaluated by an internal team of IIT Delhi. The open house will include sessions such as Vision and 3D holograms by Professor Jose Joby. The exhibition is open and free to the public from 10 a.m. and demonstration takes place until 2 p.m. Laboratories, however, it remains open to visitors until 4 p.m.
