Google Nexus 6p and Nexus 5X to enter the Indian market in late October, in time for November




Google is expected to unveil the long-awaited Nexus and Nexus 5X 6P in India in late October to capitalize on the demand for the festive season.

Google announced the launch of its flagship Nexus devices popular range in the US yesterday. The new Nexus 5X is manufactured by LG, while 6P is made by Huawei.

According to sources, the new devices will be available in the Indian market, both online and offline, late next month.

This will help the company to take advantage of the festive season, they added.

According to the information available on Google Play Store, 5X Nexus will be priced at Rs 31,900 (for the 16 GB variant) and Rs 35,900 (32GB), while 6P Nexus will be available at Rs 39,999 (32GB) and Rs 42,999 (64 GB) in India.

Nexus devices are available for pre-order on the Google Store in a few countries, including the US, the UK, Ireland and Japan.

In the US, the Nexus 5X is priced at USD 379 (about Rs 24,900 for the 16GB model) and the Nexus 6P USD 499 (about Rs 32,800 for the 32GB model).

Rival Google has also announced the availability of its latest iPhone iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in India from October 16 to take part in the festive sales around Diwali.

Google is expected to introduce the devices, which will come loaded with the latest Android operating system marshmallow for sale online in collaboration with two e-commerce companies in India.

5X The Nexus has a 5.2 inch screen, 2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, 12.3 MP rear and front 5-megapixel camera and a battery of 2700 mAh.

6P The Nexus features a 5.7 inch screen, hexa-core 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB RAM, front and rear 12.3 MP 8 megapixel camera and 3450 mAh battery.

Both devices come with fingerprint sensors and fast charging (USB Type-C port).

Google has also cut the price of Nexus 6 in India at Rs 33,800 (32GB), while the 64 GB variant would now be available for Rs 37,600.

The company also introduced the next generation of devices streaming Chromecast and improved his personal assistant 'Now cover'.
