Band 2 Microsoft release date, price and features

We are waiting Pro 4 and Lumia mobile devices a new surface for October 6 event Microsoft, but with the Microsoft Band to hit its first anniversary, we want to see a new laptop also.

Generally, the persecutor of the original release has been met with mixed reactions. The band has averaged to be a decent device despite its flaws. Its ten sensors have been praised and functionality while its overall appearance and comfort have been points of contention. The Microsoft Band 2 should solve these problems - we hope.

The wearable computer Redmond has kept her lips zipped for a long time - there is hardly any juicy rumors about the Microsoft Band 2. Read about continuation of what we have found and our own speculation on the basis of the first generation of the band .

Come to the point

What is? Fitness tracker second generation of Microsoft
When you are outside? Holiday season or shortly thereafter
How much will it cost? Probably the same as for the Microsoft Band $ 199 (£ 170, around AU $ 230)

Pattern

The biggest clue about the new device comes from a recently leaked allegedly showing a different design, with enhanced functionality mentions image. The other reports will suggest new buttons and a metal frame around the screen.

Not many people have been happy with the original design of Microsoft Band. Awkward, uncomfortable and ugly are some descriptions of option you will find. Hopefully Redmond has taken this criticism to heart and redesigned his device otherwise well done.

The ten sensors located on the first laptop - Optical heart rate sensor, 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, GPS, ambient light sensor, skin temperature, UV sensor, capacitive sensor, microphone and a sensor galvanic skin response - is also likely to appear again on the second device. However, with more than stuffed inside, which it does not leave much space to create elegant, sexy babydoll-ware.

Interface

Microsoft's current Band is not running a particular operating system. Rather, it is a portable architecture that has been optimized for low-power micro-devices instead of Windows 10 or a modified version of Windows.

That could change with the Band 2. Windows 10 has been released for many devices and even now be compatible with the Xbox One and HoloLens. It makes sense that the ultimate fitness tracker Microsoft have joined W10. At least, the laptop should be able to synchronize with the console or PC somehow. Fitbit has been able to do it, why not own Microsoft device?

Presentation

Microsoft screen Band 2 may be similar to fitness tracking Samsung Gear Fit curve. Unlike Samsung device, Microsoft probably make a more portable form smallest accessory to keep it simple and comfortable.

The first generation of the band has done a decent job of the messages displayed on the small 1.4-inch TFT (320 x 106 pixels) full-color display by the scrolling.

The touch screen should also make a return if Microsoft is smart. The lack of a touch screen only makes the device feels a bit unnatural and uncomfortable.

Battery Energy

Two days is the average battery life of most smartwatches and fitness trackers with color screens also they serve as centers of notification. The inclusion of GPS also absorbs energy.

The previous Microsoft Band requires charging after two days of normal use. It is unlikely that the Microsoft Band 2 deviate from this especially with all the sensors and a color touch screen included.

Cost

The Microsoft Band is reasonably priced at $ 199 (£ 170, around AU $ 230) so it is safe to assume that Microsoft Band 2 will go the same route.

If there are different options announced size, price levels could be introduced with the larger size that cost more.
