KPMG in India application launches cybersecurity
Aimed at empowering senior management to assess threats and measure the current level of combat readiness, KPMG in India has launched a 'Ciber KARE' tool said a company statement.
"The boards of large organizations have begun to pay more attention to cyber risks, but there is much more they can do," said Malcolm Marshall - partner and global head of cybersecurity, KPMG.
"They have that sure they have the appropriate skills and knowledge and treat it as a wider commercial risk affecting the organization beyond IT in areas such as new product development and services, and mergers and acquisitions," he added.
The toolkit "Cyber KARE" is designed for the evaluation to be made by senior management and provides a quantitative result representing the current position of the organization regarding cyber risk exposure and preparation for cybersecurity.
KPMG survey on cyber crime in India 2015, indicated that 72 percent of organizations were attacked India cybersecurity and 65 percent of these attackers were conducted for financial gain. The survey also shows that 64 percent of these attacks are aimed at directors and senior management.
