The tablet market could be cannibalized by phablets and is failing miserably, but that has not prevented the construction companies of the tablets. Here's a quick look at what the three leading companies are doing in the tablet space.
Android
Although there is no shortage of tablets when it comes to Android, most of them fall in the affordable price range and none are as popular as the Apple iPad. However, Samsung has not given up the development of its best to go head-
iPad. Last year, the Tab S is known as a great alternative to the mini iPad. Now they have released new models S2 Tab.
Tab Galaxy S2 available in sizes 8 inches and 9.7 inches by 5.6 mm, weighing 265 grams and 389 grams respectively. Samsung Tab S2 called his "thinner and lighter" in that size, tablet obviously, to take on the Air
2 and the supposed air 3 is expected later this year. At 5.6mm, 0.6mm is thinner than last year's iPad 2 Air launched. The largest variant is the same size as the iPad 2 air and manages to offer the same screen resolution, while weighing less. When it comes to storage space, the 32GB and 64GB models are available with slot expandable up to 128 GB, something that Apple does not offer.

Purebred Google Nexus series has also tried to make their presence felt in the tablet space. However, its latest Nexus 9 also failed to emerge as an iPad-killer.
Windows
Microsoft has not had a big play when it comes to tablets. The Surface tablets of the company have not been able to make a mark, although a user interface tablet use. With the upcoming Windows 10, this may change, as the new operating system is said to be mobile-centric and cloud puts first. The successor to the Surface Pro 3 now says that in the pipeline.
iOS
Apple iPad has witnessed its first decline since the original iPad was announced back in 2009. The company now says it is working on the successor of the iPad 2 Air which was called the best so far iPad and mini iPad 3.
Judging from the usual pattern, the new devices should be arriving sometime around October-November. Some reports also say the company may announce the long-rumored iPad instead of Pro Air iPad 3. However, there is no specific word on whether this iPad Pro has faced multiple delays.
Those who do not know, the Pro iPad is 12 inches from the company iPad will come equipped with a stylus. The pen is likely to be available as an optional accessory.
The mini iPad 4 also is believed to be the last in the mini series. Some of the improvements / rumor speculated the new iPads include A9X processor, 3 GB of RAM, an improved camera and more.
