Father's Day will be celebrated with doodle by Google

Google is celebrating Father's Day with Google Doodle dedicated visible on the current page. The image consists of a doormat with the skin of a father and son.

Several countries mark the third Sunday in June as Father's Day. The tradition of keeping Father's Day began in early 1900 to complement Mother's Day and to celebrate parents and male parenting. In the past, well, Google has marked the occasion with scribbles.

Surprisingly, the scope of this doodle was significantly lower compared to most Google doodles.

Though Father's Day is not a holiday in India, which is certainly an occasion to thank our good old parents for their instruction, guidance and love. If you're wondering what to get your dad this Father's Day, you can see some gift suggestions here.

Recently, Google has also released a new video that celebrates the dreams and aspirations of a parent.

Google's own car speeding catch by Street View

There are all sorts of weird and wonderful detail hidden in Street View: take the road of St. George in Glasgow, for example, where you can clearly see car camera Google clocking up 37 miles per hour thanks to the sign on the side Of the road.

The telltale piece of digital evidence was discovered by Dutchman Twan van Duivenbooden who shared his discovery on Twitter. He works in Glasgow, which goes some way to explain why he was studying Street View images of the city in such detail.

Thanks to the reflections in the nearby building you can see the Google Street View car towards no traffic signal ahead. Other signs on the road suggests that the car is in an area of 20 mph - or perhaps about to enter one - so it is well above the limit.

So far there has been no response from Google, but no doubt there will be willing to tell their hired drivers to be more careful while grabbing images 360 degrees - the cars themselves are hardly inconspicuous and any misdemeanor could get photographed for posterity.

Granular permissions applications and applications using protected areas, which in isolation from other applications in the system, improve safety over the past year.

In 2014, Google also deployed machine learning to automate scanning devices, highly reducing the effectiveness of exploits and vulnerabilities. The biggest threat was the PHA (potentially harmful applications) that collect data and unauthorized download malicious content. Check service protects Android applications downloads stores third-party applications, and was significant in reducing the amount of harmful installations. SafetyNet users protected from network-based attacks. Hundreds of millions of users were protected from dangerous Web sites because of safe navigation.

Android became part of the rewards program vulnerability of Google, which gives cash to research security vulnerabilities or errors change. Android paid more than $ 200,000 as part of the program. The monthly program of public security updates introduced the Nexus devices, and is expected to appear in more devices soon

Free Internet: Google is showing us how to do it!

Like you, I've been listening Fundamentals free for a long time now. We have all witnessed a very strong opposition to basics for free by Facebook, of those of us who are aware of the finer details and implications. There are also some who leave because fundamentals remain free because it is apparently altruistic.

Regardless of which side of the debate you are on, you can not deny that altruists are rarely worth several billion dollars. That would be my opinion, but to be able to, you should first make huge sums. As Shah Rukh Khan advised the students of the University of Edinburgh last year, "they do not become a philosopher before becoming rich." He can be a Bollywood star and an actor, but an underlying reality explained. There is a deep rooted inclination in creating wealth. And lowering lines between wealth creation for a certain few, and the world around.

When genuine philanthropy makes people's lives impact. Only free basics such movement is not one of those. There is a larger industry of technology that emphasizes giving back movement. And many have opened their coffers to hand out huge sums as part of philanthropic efforts. Here is a list of several others who have turned their backs on society with no small print.

So more than anything, Google's move to connect hundreds of railway stations in India is welcome. From the point of view of perception and communication, it gets full points. But before taking a look at Google, I would emphasize the points mentioned by Facebook why we have to have Internet access.

Mark Zuckerberg wrote a blog for The Times of India. And there was a question raised by Zuckerberg who has absolute sense. He said: "In the 21st century, everyone also deserves access to the tools and information that can help you achieve all those other utilities, and all their fundamental social and economic rights." I agree 100 percent. Each and every one of us deserves access to tools and information to be able to achieve what we set out to achieve in this highly competitive world - the kind that makes us leaders in our own right. And hopefully transform the world and make it better.

So how do we do that? By getting access to information. The world can not change Wi-Fi in a railway station in India, but is a significant step in the right direction. Progress will happen for empowerment, not wasting time online. Just think for a while about the state of the Internet in India, and you would realize a lot has to change.

The need of the hour is free internet access. No small print. That could happen through the industry and the government of India working together. And the Wi-Fi station Mumbai Central Railway today is the first step in the right direction. There is probably something there for Facebook to consider. When the world around them need Internet access and provides free, then the world will take a step towards meeting their sales targets and revenue.

Wi-Fi for Indian Railways, broadband to the villages key technology announcements visit to the United States of Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the last leg of his visit to the US .. In the last couple of days, Modi has managed to talk to a host of Fortune 500 CEOs. Among the prominent Silicon Valley business listings Modi are:

Google announced plans to offer Wi-Fi in 500 stations

According to a recent report published by the Broadband Commission of the United Nations entitled "The state of broadband 'prior to the Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development report he said India slipped in world ranking broadband penetration.

While many may argue that it is the responsibility of government to provide effective and affordable access to broadband Internet, the fact is that India is far behind countries such as Syria and Sudan in terms of Internet penetration.

During the visit of PM Modi's campus during the Google India Code 2015 hackathon, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Google has partnered with Indian Railways to provide high speed Internet connectivity broadband at 500 stations India Railway. Pichai noted that these connections would allow content streaming HD video, emphasizing that not just enable connectivity, but allows the use of high video bandwidth.

Microsoft broadband connectivity at 5 lakh villages

After Google, it was the turn of Microsoft to sweeten the deal. While Google is focused on high-speed connectivity, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced that Microsoft will partner with the government of India to bring Internet connectivity at low cost to 5,00,000 Indian villages.

During the town hall at the headquarters of Facebook with CEO Mark Zuckerberg PM Modi replied to a question about the effectiveness would be the brand campaign in India and ease of changing the course of things. He gave the story of a driven scooter and how easy it is to divert its course. Modi added that in the case of the train, it takes time to run it in a new direction. This was in reference to the scale in India. In the municipality of Facebook, Modi said that India has a unique challenge over 600,000 villages.

Microsoft's announcement could not have come at a better time when India Digital initiative has been proposed for the world.

The Microsoft data centers in India next week

In its announcement, Nadella added: "A key part of both made in India and Digital India, bringing world-class infrastructure in India, respecting the digital security, sovereignty of India and privacy is a key milestone for us."
This would allow Microsoft to offer high-speed services, cloud hosting and scalability allow small businesses, young entrepreneurs and large corporations in India. Interestingly, in March 2010, Microsoft launched the Azure platform in India.

However, earlier this year, in March 2015, Microsoft has launched the program in the cloud to India. The plan to announce data centers in India is likely a natural extension of an existing movement to Microsoft's market plan. However, the announcement during Modi's visit to the US It has only increased global interest in the development.

Type of Google in 10 Indian languages including Gujarati

After announcing high-speed Internet, Google has also announced that Indian users could now be able to type in 10 languages of India. In an official blog, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said, "to help the most useful for Indian web content, many of whom do not speak English, we have launched the Indian language Internet Alliance last year to promote more local language content, and have incorporated more local language support in our products including Voice Search Hindi, Hindi keyboard and improved support for seven languages of India with the latest versions of Android. "

As in the case of Microsoft, Google's announcement raises significant national interest. Last year, Google had announced the Indian Languages Internet Alliance to work with local languages. In 2014, Rajan Anandan of Google announced "Anandan of Google, said the plan was to bring the characteristics of at least the first eight Indian languages in the next 18 months, which include Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, etc."

Qualcomm $ 150 million funds for start-ups

In another announcement that aligns with PM Modi plans for SMEs and the segment of the launch, Qualcomm announced its support for India Digital Foundation and the Make the initiative of India with the launch of a venture fund $ 150 million for new businesses.

According to Qualcomm CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs, the main objective of the fund is "fuel innovation and nurturing promising start-ups in India who are contributing to the" Internet for all "mobile and ecosystems and provide start-ups with financial, marketing, technology and business support to help propel forward in the competitive Indian market. "

Apple production in India?

In June this year, there were reports of Chinese manufacturer Foxconn plans to establish a manufacturing plant in India iPhone. During the meeting between PM Narendra Modi and CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, the possibility of manufacturing in India it was discussed.

The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vikas Swarup quoted CEO of Apple, Tim Cook as saying during the interaction, "We have a unique bond with India. Our founder, Steve Jobs went to India for inspiration."

Facebook embraces Digital India

During the town hall at Facebook HQ, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that before Facebook became bigger, and before things went well, they hit a rough patch.

Zuckerberg said: "Early in our history, when things were not really going well - we had hit a rough patch and many people wanted to buy Facebook - I went and met with Steve Jobs and told me to reconnect with I believed was the mission of the company, you should go visit this temple in India that had gone early in the evolution of Apple, when he was thinking about what he wanted his vision of the future to be. "

Zuckerberg took his advice. And I spent a month visiting India. He added that seeing the way people connected in India made him believe that the world would be a better place if everyone had a stronger ability to connect. Zuckerberg has changed his profile picture to support the 'Digital India initiative.

Google appears ready to return to China, in talks with China

Google is in talks with the Chinese authorities and manufacturers of smartphones on the opening of an online store in China stocked with applications for mobile devices with Android, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

The move would mark a change in the Internet firm US, which moved its online search service to Hong Kong to China in 2010 after a cyber attack aimed at users of Gmail and a clash over censorship.

Many Google services, like its free email service Gmail, are blocked in China.

Google backed Android the most smart phones in the world powers and is freely available to device manufacturers in China and elsewhere.

Manufacturers like Xiaomi customize your own version of Android, while Baidu and other Internet players in China stores run applications that do not share income with Google, according to the Journal.

Opening a virtual store Google Play digital content, approved by the Chinese government and pre-installed on smartphones powered by a licensed version of Android would be a remedy for this situation.

Google has been working on the project for over a year and expected to have the application store in China in new smartphones later this year, according to a source quoted by the newspaper.

Google did not immediately respond to an AFP request for comment.

Google+ and Facebook: The rise of social networks and failed attempts that followed

There is general consensus on the importance of social media. The brands around the world have made social media a multimillionaire empire. It turns out that, aside from Twitter and Facebook, many have not succeeded in leaving a mark with a successful social network.

It is an endless cycle. You join a network, and enjoy it, because all your friends are there. And then some of his friends speak of new networks boast of a couple of interesting new features. And you think to yourself, you're probably better in a place with more friends, rather than have their friends scattered across networks.

Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, even largely made most of the early advantage in carving a niche movement. For communicating short form, Twitter stands out. For networks with old friends, Facebook has built the largest user base, and when it comes to a professional network, LinkedIn is arguably the most credible of all.

All of these names aside, there have been attempts by Google and Microsoft to build a successful social network. About the same time, Google had discovered that his first attempt at social media - Orkut - was not very successful. There had to be something new. Something that was better.

Goole +

Failure is not new to Google. Google+ Before there was Google Wave, which was destined to revolutionize the way we looked email. Then there was Google Buzz. Is no one even remembers them anymore. In a very interesting article on Mashable, Vic Gundotra is reported to have constantly released to the CEO of Google, Larry Page, the need to create a social network. Quoting a former executive of Google, he says the report, "Vic was just this constant error in Larry's ear:" Facebook will kill us. Facebook will kill us. Vic'm pretty sure managed to scare Larry in action. And voila: Google+ born ".

Today, Google is considered as death, if not dead. Vic Gundotra is not Google's. But the money has been invested and remains invested. According to preliminary estimates in 2011, the total investment that went into Google+ was $ 585 million US dollars. TheNextWeb said the number "is eerily close to what News Corp paid for MySpace so many years ago, which was $ 580 million in 2005."

Microsoft Socl

When it comes to Microsoft, the focus today is on Windows 10, and other exciting products as Cortana and HoloLens. However, in December 2010, Microsoft offered to buy Facebook for $ 15 billion. And humbly Facebook refused to sell. Microsoft then tried to create social network itself.

Microsoft has a social network called So.cl (pronounced social) and the possibilities that have heard of it are pretty slim. In many ways, So.cl is similar to Google+.

We wonder why companies the size of Google and Microsoft have failed to create a social network worth considering. There is, it comes down to what users experience and hope. Any attempt to run it as a product to generate revenue will lose the most important factor - user experience.

According to an earlier report, released YouTube video support 360 degrees Android in March. The news was announced on YouTube Creator of the blog which stated that with this feature, viewers can see the stage and the audience of a concert or might even have a choose-your-own-adventure video where people see a different story depending of where they are.

Fewer women than ads shown online paying jobs related to: Study

Fewer women compared to men online advertisements promising well-paid jobs are displayed, a new study from Google ads by researchers, including those of Indian origin, has found.

Experiments conducted by Carnegie Mellon University showed that significantly fewer women than men are shown online ads promising to help them get well paid more than USD 200 000 jobs, raising questions about the fairness of targeting ads online.

The study of ads from Google, using a tool called AdFisher CMU developed profiles that experiments with simulated users running, states that gender discrimination was real, said Anupam Datta, associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering professor and computing.

"This just came out of nowhere," Datta Find gender discrimination, which was part of a larger study of the operation of the Web page of Google Ad Options, formerly Ad Preferences said.

"Many of the important decisions about the ads we see are being made by online systems. The oversight of these" black boxes "is necessary to ensure that do not compromise our values," Datta said.

The study used the tool to run automated AdFisher 21 experiments evaluated Settings ads, Google created a web page to give users some control over the ads were delivered.

AdFisher creates hundreds of simulated users, allowing researchers to conduct experiments based on the browser that can identify various effects of changes in preferences or behavior online.

To study the impact of gender, researchers used AdFisher to create 1,000 simulated users - Average designated male, half female - and we had to visit 100 sites higher employment.

When AdFisher then reviewed the ads that show simulated users, the site most strongly associated with male profiles was a professional advice for executive positions that pay over $ 200,000.

"The male users high-paying ads work on 1,800 times is compared with users who saw those ads about 300 times," said Amit Datta, a doctoral student in electrical and computer engineering.

In comparison, the ads associated with female profiles were for a generic service offering work and a car dealership.

These discrepancies could come from the advertiser or Google system to guide the selection of men, the researchers said. The study was published in the Proceedings of magazines on Privacy Enhancing Technologies.A

Adorable Google self-driving car hits road Silicon Valley

Sit back and enjoy the ride, on the direction of a car from point A to point B will soon come to an end: Google self-driving car has made official its way on roads in Mountain View, California.

But do not panic yet. The autonomous vehicle, which shares a face strangely like a koala, will be making his rounds in the "25 mph-friendly neighborhood", and comes equipped with a removable steering wheel, accelerator and brake - just in case something goes wrong.

We've known this was coming for a while. Google announced the development of the car a little over a year and the green light for these tests began about a month ago. That said, we have not heard of him leaving the test track until today and are just excited to see how he does on the open road.

It is not so bold an experiment as it sounds, however. Autonomous vehicle Google will use the same software found in Lexus smart car that has been wandering the streets for some time so the possibility of something going wrong are almost nil ago.

Google is asking anyone who sees the car without a driver in the act of sending comments through its website.

French pressure monitoring Google in right "to be forgotten '

Google has to scrub search results worldwide when it agrees to the demands of users to be "forgotten", rather than only to the European versions of its website, the regulator of data protection France on Friday.

The regulator said in a statement that if Google does not comply within 15 days, you can launch a process leading to sanctions, ramping up pressure on the US giant after a landmark European legal ruling.

In May last year, the European Court of Justice ruled that the European residents can ask the search engine to clear the results that become part of a search of his name when they are out of date, irrelevant or inflammatory - the called right to oblivion.

Since then, Google and other search engines like Bing Microsoft and Yahoo have started to grant requests for delisting when certain criteria are met.

But there has been much debate on implementation, especially Google's decision only to the results of scrub European sites, leading some to resort to local regulators.

The company maintains that the decision should apply only through its European domains like Google.de Google.fr in France and in Germany.

But watchdogs data protection in the EU, many legal experts and former Justice Minister Sabine Leutheusser German-Schnarrenberger, who has advised Google on privacy after the European sentence, they think it must be global.

Some people have taken Google to court to try to force a change. They include Dan Shefet, a French lawyer born in Denmark, who won a libel case in a French court recently that experts say they called the results are cleared worldwide.

"According to the judgment (European Court), the CNIL considers that to be effective, delisting should be performed in all extensions of the engine and that the service provided by Google Search is a unique process," the CNIL regulator said.

France is the first country to open a potential sanctions process against Google if it does not change its position. But the CNIL's powers remain limited, since it can only impose fines of up to 150,000 euros ($ 168,000).

The Google in Mountain View, California-based had revenues of 66 billion US dollars last year.

A Google spokesman said the company had been cooperating closely with data protection authorities and was looking for the right balance in implementing the decision of the European Court.

"The ruling focused on services for European users, and that's the approach we are taking to comply with it," said the spokesman.

Apple said the construction of the network of high-speed data: Report

Apple is building a high-speed network and improving the way it builds data centers, to better compete with Amazon.com Inc, Google Inc and Microsoft Corp in cloud services, Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the plans.

The plan involves the connection of Apple data centers in California, Nevada, North Carolina and Oregon, and others for the content closer to the Internet centers in some densely populated markets, Bloomberg reported.

Apple is trying to handle more traffic alone without renting server space from cloud providers like Amazon and Microsoft. While Apple has not disclosed the total costs, investment will run in the billions, Bloomberg reported.

Apple will continue with most of their existing suppliers, and is seeking mainly to strengthen their existing infrastructure, the report said.

Apple declined to comment on the report. The iPhone maker said in February it would invest € 1.7 billion ($ 1.9 billion) to build two data centers in Europe.

Apple said the centers in Ireland and Denmark, would feed the Apple online services, including the iTunes Store, App Store, iMessage, Maps and Siri for customers in Europe.

Google to release monthly data on accidents of self-driving car

Google Inc said it would provide monthly updates of accidents with cars without driver. The May report showed Google cars were involved in 12 accidents since the company began testing its self-driving cars in 2009, especially the participation of the rear end.

Google said one of their vehicles was hit from behind at a stoplight in California on Thursday, bringing the total number of 13 accidents.

"That could mean that vehicles tend to stop more quickly than human drivers expect," said public interest group Consumer Watchdog.

A Google spokesman said the consumer advocacy conclusion was erroneous because most accidents occurred back when the vehicle is stopped.

Consumer Watchdog asked for more details about the accident, including statements of witnesses and other drivers.

None of these accidents were caused by a fault in the car, Google said. Program manager self-driving car Google, Chris Urmson, said in May that the cars have been involved in 11 accidents.

Accidents mostly self-driving Lexus RX450h sport utility vehicles involved in Google.

Google is about to make their prototype-pod vehicles and outside the test track and in Mountain View, California, highways this summer. The company described the roadster as "totally self-driving first vehicle in the world."

Built in Detroit by suppliers of Roush Industries, the prototype will be equipped with wheels removable direction, brake pedals and gas pedals that test engineers can "take over the driving, if necessary," he said Urmson in May.
