Adorable Google self-driving car hits road Silicon Valley
Sit back and enjoy the ride, on the direction of a car from point A to point B will soon come to an end: Google self-driving car has made official its way on roads in Mountain View, California.
But do not panic yet. The autonomous vehicle, which shares a face strangely like a koala, will be making his rounds in the "25 mph-friendly neighborhood", and comes equipped with a removable steering wheel, accelerator and brake - just in case something goes wrong.
We've known this was coming for a while. Google announced the development of the car a little over a year and the green light for these tests began about a month ago. That said, we have not heard of him leaving the test track until today and are just excited to see how he does on the open road.
It is not so bold an experiment as it sounds, however. Autonomous vehicle Google will use the same software found in Lexus smart car that has been wandering the streets for some time so the possibility of something going wrong are almost nil ago.
