Apple exploration for massive plots high street for creating flagship stores in India

After getting a nod from the government, the technology giant of Cupertino has begun hunting for prime real estate to establish its flagship Apple Stores in India, reports The Times of India.

Major real estate companies seem to be running around trying to find massive plots in major cities not only for Apple, but Samsung also. According to the same source, Samsung also plans to establish stores and mass merchandisers are looking for properties that are between 15,000 and 20,000 square feet. Samsung may be looking to set up a store that is similar to the massive Korea (Samsung D'light) and will join the 1,100 stores that already exist in India. The Korean company will also be the creation of small shops 2,000-2,500 square feet only for their smartphones.

Apple on the other side is trying to establish its famous glass shops (and in some cases even patented) similar to Fifth Avenue in New York. The same will be 2,000-3,000 square feet in size and will also include separate spaces for technical support and rooms for holding workshops.

Executives of the major brokerage firms claim that Apple is looking for outlets first in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune for the first phase of the larger stores. The second phase will consist of small outlets.

Competition is heating up and after ignoring India for a long time, Apple CEO Tim Cook, makes it quite seriously and it was revealed during the recent local city.

For now, all eyes will be on tonight, Tim Cook as CEO presents its revamped smartphone labeled 4-inch iPhone SE. It is expected that the smartphone to pack similar to the iPhone 5s with a new design specifications, but not Touch 3D, which will remain exclusive to the iPhone 6s models for now.
