The main feature in the IOS 9 has to be proactive Wizard, which is the way to deal with Google Apple now. Proactive assistant is basically a major upgrade to Apple's Siri virtual assistant can now give contextual search results based on your location, search history and the time of day. For example, if you have left your home he will tell you about your upcoming appointments at work, in your calendar; how far you are from your destination, based on the traffic situation in real time and so on.

News app was the other great iOS 9 advert basically aggregates news based on their interests in a rich multimedia format. Think of an amalgam of Facebook Instant Articles and News Flipboard and have Apple applications. The news application has partnered with The New York Times for 33 articles a day (there were no details on whether users can access this for free or have to shell out money, as The New York Times generally offers 10 items per month free), together with the magazine publisher Conde Nast and with countless bloggers. News application tends to keep the size of the articles similar to the original source font so that users feel they are reading articles on their site of origin. This sounds a lot like Facebook Instant items.

Just like Flipboard, design is rich and can embed photo galleries, videos and news application article. Also content has been optimized for both iPad and iPhone. It will first be available in the US, UK and Australia.

Additions in the Notes application and maps application are the same as were seen in the OS X El Capitan. Read our coverage of the Apple OS X Captain here.

Apple Pay now be acceptable in the UK as well and will reach more countries in the near future. As usual, there was no mention of India. Payment of Apple has also added support for loyalty cards and store credit cards. Besides Apple Passbook has changed its name to Apple purse integrated debit card, credit card, loyalty cards, all in one place.

iPad power-users will have some much needed features like shortcuts to cut, copy, paste functions; a new mode that turns the trackpad and keyboard in a multitasking mode for iPad. As with the OS X Captain, iOS 9 also support the multitasking on the iPad. Now you can have two applications open side by side on the iPad, a feature we've seen in many tablets and Android phones. The applications can be divided to occupy 50-50% or 70-30% ratio screen. Also the videos can be seen in a picture in picture mode, where the video window can be moved around and resized according to your preferences. But unfortunately, split-screen function only come with the iPad 2 and the new iPad, while the image based on the image will be there for older iPads.

Unlike previous update capabilities of IOS, IOS 9 only come as a plant size of 1.8 GB as opposed to 4.6GB of iOS in August.
