SBI to lntroduced in December mobile wallet 'Batua "for feature phone users






The country's largest financial institution the State Bank of India (SBI) is all set to become the first bank to offer services portfolio for feature phone users in the month of December. This application, available on Java enabled mobile phones can be used by both existing customers and not SBI.

Who requested anonymity, an official from SBI told PTI, "We want to serve India and Bharat and this new initiative is part of our efforts to meet Bharat. Customers post-launch can log on download sbi.co.in 'Batua 'on your desktop and load the application on your phone. "

Users accessing Batua may only charge, pay and receive money. The SBI also plans to carry out another version of Batua for very basic phones that do not offer Internet access and do not involve downloading any application.

In August this year, the Mumbai-based bank also launched its mobile wallet SBI Buddy for smart phone users in the country, with which you can send money to new and registered customers, film books, flights, hotels, and you can even go on a buying binge.

In addition to the SBI, banks like HDFC, ICICI Bank and Axis have also recently launched mobile wallet services to smartphone users in the country.
